Request for Qualifications: Social Inclusion and Employment Outcomes for Persons Living with Disabilities

LIFT Philanthropy Partners is pleased to announce our Request for Qualifications for a new initiative aimed at support for “creating communities, workplaces and services that enable everyone to participate fully in society without barriers.”1

This initiative supports organizations that are removing barriers for persons living with disabilities, scaling innovative programs and services, and demonstrating measureable results, specifically towards employment or self-employment outcomes.

Under this initiative, disabilities are defined broadly to include physical, developmental, mental, and cognitive disabilities.

LIFT is seeking to qualify up to eight social purpose organizations (SPOs) (not-for-profits, charities, or social enterprises) that serve Canadians living with a disability by providing programs or services that lead to employment or self-employment, that prepare employers to be inclusive and set up for success, and that reduce barriers to social inclusion participation in their communities in ways that enhance their well-being and individual potential.

LIFT will choose organizations with proven track records and unrealized potential for substantial growth.

Over the course of three years, LIFT will work with each selected SPO, both individually and through cohort-wide activities, to expand its reach and grow its impact to deliver real change in the lives of persons living with disabilities.

SPOs interested in applying, should submit their expression of interest by October 15, 2019, by emailing submission@liftpartners.ca with your SPO’s name and primary contact information.

The RFQ submission deadline is October 25.
